China, Hong Kong sign cooperation agreement on AI development, cross-border data

The two witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in innovation and technology development between Hong Kong’s Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau and the CAC. The agreement covers areas including artificial intelligence, cross-border data flows and blockchain, aiming to support China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong’s role as an international innovation hub.
