US judge lets contributory infringement claim into authors' copyright suit

( March 25, 2026, 21:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Vince Chhabria allowed a proposed class of authors led by Richard Kadrey to amend their copyright complaint for the fourth time, adding a contributory infringement claim related to torrenting. "One reason this motion is so vexing is that the plaintiffs could have added this claim the last time they sought to amend their complaint back in November 2024 (roughly a year and a half ago)," Chhabria wrote. See attached file....
