Perplexity, Meta AI likely to help in planning violence, advocacy group says

( March 11, 2026, 15:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Center for Countering Digital Hate, an advocacy group, has said that eight out of 10 AI chatbots were regularly willing to assist users in the planning of violent attacks. The CCDH's research, conducted with TV channel CNN, showed that Perplexity was willing to help with every single request it received, and that Meta AI would do so in 97 percent of cases. However, Snapchat’s My AI and Anthropic’s Claude more often refused to help. “A user can move from a vague violent impulse to a detailed, operational attack plan,” the CCDH said.Statement follows, report attached....
