Leading EU lawmakers push for fixed AI Act deadlines

Their draft also restores AI literacy duties for developers and users, narrows sensitive data use, calls for adequate AI Office resources, and seeks consistency with sectoral law.The leading lawmakers working on changes to the EU AI Act want to maintain the new legal deadlines fixed, they wrote in their first redraft of the proposal, among other changes to AI literacy, special data processing, enforcement and sectoral legislation interplay....
