California asks US appeals court to allow election communications law to go through

Bonta said that law remains outside the scope of the CDA because it creates a statutory obligation on all platforms, common-law distributors and publishers alike, and imposing liability on a platform that chooses not to follow the law is not imposing liability on a platform’s own publishing decisions.See attached file. ...
