Indonesia temporarily cuts access to Grok AI feature on X platform

( January 10, 2026, 08:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- Mlex Summary: Indonesia's Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid said on Saturday that the ministry has temporarily cut the access of Grok AI artificial intelligence feature on the X platform. She said the move aims to protect women, children and the entire community from the risks of fake pornographic content generated using artificial intelligence technology. The government views the practice of non-consensual sexual deepfakes as a “serious violation” of human rights, dignity, and the security of citizens in the digital space.
