Faculty's AI tool to predict UK emergency room demand now in widespread use

( December 28, 2025, 22:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK’s National Health Service is using AI to predict demand for its emergency rooms in more hospitals to allow better planning and ultimately patients being treated more quickly. The tool developed with Faculty, a UK AI company, is now deployed by 170 users across 50 NHS hospital trusts, up from nine in a 2023 pilot. It is now available to all of the approximately 200 trusts. The tool is updated with seasonal health data in real time, plus meteorological data to forecast the busiest periods. The government's technology department announced the developments during a surge in flu cases and just ahead of New Year's Eve, one of its busiest nights.Statement follows....
