South Korea approves national AI-bio development strategy

( December 18, 2025, 02:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea on Thursday approved a strategic roadmap to advance the artificial-intelligence-applied biotechnology industry, aiming to strengthen the country’s position in the global competition for leadership in the sector. The National AI-Bio Strategy, endorsed at the Ministerial Meeting on Science and Technology, sets out initiatives to support the development of proprietary AI models, build hub towns in provincial regions and promote the accumulation and use of biomedical data.
