OECD report advises South Korea to boost AI adoption, enhance training

( October 27, 2025, 08:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Artificial intelligence could help ease a likely severe labor shortage and productivity risk in South Korea, caused by a rapidly shrinking population, by fostering task automation and efficiency improvement. However, South Korea’s AI adoption, especially among small and medium-sized enterprises, lags behind peers such as Germany because of several factors, according to a report by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. To address these issues, South Korea should expand on-the-job AI training, tailor programs for SMEs, and coordinate efforts through a central AI agency while ensuring that AI use remains safe and fair through clear workplace guidelines on privacy, bias and accountability, the report said.The report is attached....
