South Korea allows use of nearly 12 million public works for AI model development

The move follows the approval Thursday by a regulatory sandbox review committee of a request from the National Information Society Agency to process materials such as news releases and publications issued by the government and public organizations. The public woks will be provided to the five consortia participating in the government’s World Best LLM project to develop high-performance foundation models, the Ministry of Science and ICT said.
