South Korea forms major alliance for AI-driven manufacturing transformation

( September 10, 2025, 07:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A massive alliance of about 1,000 South Korean companies, research organizations and academic institutions was launched Wednesday to cooperate on accelerating the artificial intelligence-driven transformation of the country’s manufacturing industries. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry led the formation of the alliance, which comprises 10 sub-alliances specializing in individual sectors or tasks. The sub-alliances will aim to develop South Korea’s proprietary AI-applied models in such fields as autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, AI factory systems and autonomous manufacturing systems, according to a government statement.The statement, in Korean, is attached....
