US FTC sues business support company Air AI over allegedly deceptive practices

( August 25, 2025, 20:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: The US Federal Trade Commission has sued Air AI in Arizona federal court, alleging that the business coaching and support company made deceptive claims to small businesses about its ability to help them grow. Air AI also allegedly made false claims about refunds. The company markets an AI tool to replace customer service agents. "Companies that market AI-related tools with false promises of unrealistic investment returns and guaranteed refunds harm hardworking small business owners and undermine legitimate business’s adoption of AI,” FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection Director Christopher Mufarrige stated.Statement follows below.
