UK should focus on AI deployment, not model training, Tony Blair Institute report says

The think-thank argued the UK risks missing out on AI’s economic benefits unless it rapidly expands domestic datacenter infrastructure. It called for an “accelerated diversification” strategy, warning that current energy, planning and regulatory barriers are threatening UK government plans. The report also urged for reforms to grid access, the creation of a dedicated AI infrastructure delivery group and more powers for ministers to fast-track AI Growth Zones.Report attached. ...
