China tightens rules on connected vehicles amid safety, ethics overhaul

The public security ministry has outlined a plan to strengthen legal frameworks, while the science and technology ministry has unveiled ethics guidelines. At a press conference yesterday, Wang Qiang, the director of the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, said that no vehicles in the domestic market feature true autonomous driving systems.
