Malaysia weighs AI legislation, eyes stronger global standing

Speaking during a question-and-answer session in Parliament, Gobind said the country’s National Artificial Intelligence Organization, or NAIO, is currently formulating the National AI Action Plan 2026–2030 to enhance Malaysia’s position as a regional AI hub. The action plan sets benchmarks for improving Malaysia’s performance in global AI rankings.
