AI transparency bill advances in New York legislature

By Amy Miller ( June 11, 2025, 00:40 GMT | Insight) -- A New York bill requiring generative artificial intelligence developers to disclose what data was used to train their models passed the state Assembly today and is now heading to the Senate for consideration. Under the proposed AI Training Data Transparency Act (A 6578), developers would have to provide information such as who owns the data and descriptions of the data.
