Meta told to stop using personal data for AI training in Germany

The consumer organization of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia sent a warning to Meta on April 30 and is considering “further legal steps” if it doesn’t respond. The group said Meta is violating the GDPR by using “legitimate interest” as a legal basis for its AI model training.
