ChatGPT faces possible designation as a systemic platform under EU digital law

OpenAI reported a jump from 11.2 million monthly active EU users in October to 41.3 million in March, nearing the 45 million threshold for such classification. This designation would impose strict regulatory requirements and the payment of a supervisory fee.
