OpenAI, Microsoft had reason to investigate copyright infringement, US judge says

Newspapers also had numerous examples of OpenAI's ChatGPT and Microsoft's Copilot allegedly regurgitating copies of protected news articles, including “more than 100 pages of examples” provided by the New York Times, which “give rise to a plausible inference of copyright infringement,” US District Judge Sidney H.
