Apple asks US appeals court to stay DOJ's Google search remedy trial

( February 3, 2025, 15:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple has asked the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit to stay proceedings in the Department of Justice's April 21, 2025 remedy trial in a monopolization lawsuit against Google. Apple has asked to expedite the consideration of its appeal of a lower court order denying its motion to intervene in the remedy trial. Apple said that while it was not a party to this case, and the DOJ had not asserted wrongdoing by Apple, the government's remedy proposal "squarely targets" Apple in "extraordinarily broad terms" that would prevent Apple from contracting with Google for “anything of value” for 10 years.
