Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic to offer streamlined AI training tool

( October 30, 2026, 18:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and Anthropic will voluntarily adopt a proposal under consideration at the Internet Engineering Task Force, a global internet standard-setting body, to create a streamlined AI training control for web publishers and creators. "Publishers should not have to choose between being discoverable in Bing and deciding how generative models use their work," Microsoft said in its post. "Today, we are building on that commitment by offering newer, simpler, and clearer preferences that allow you to make choices about training, grounding, or both while remaining eligible for Bing search results."See attached blog posts....
