EU orders registration of PVC imports from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Mexico
( October 26, 2026, 09:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Imports of certain polyvinyl chloride from China, Taiwan, South Korea and Mexico will be subject to EU customs registration from Oct. 27, allowing potential retroactive collection of anti-dumping duties, the European Commission said in a regulation on Monday. The move follows an investigation opened on Sept. 23 after a complaint by the PVC Trade Committee on behalf of producers representing more than 25 percent of EU production. Registration will last nine months and covers pure suspension- and mass-polymerized PVC, excluding emulsion-polymerized PVC. The commission hasn’t determined any future duty rates. Retroactive collection would depend on the investigation’s findings and whether the legal conditions are met.The statement is attached....
