( October 20, 2026, 15:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms faces a call by German digital publishers’ associations for the EU antitrust regulator to probe changes to its commercial terms for links shared on its platforms. Currently, Meta has access to content shared, posted or uploaded in connection with its products. Revised terms, due to take effect on Oct. 30, would automatically extend that access to linked domains, including content published outside Meta’s platforms, the associations said in a complaint filed to the European Commission on Tuesday. "The new clause infringes Meta’s obligation to grant business users fair and reasonable conditions of access and at the same time constitutes an abuse of its dominant position," they said.Statement is attached....
