( October 15, 2026, 08:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia has introduced anti-circumvention rules for the first time to prevent companies from evading antidumping and countervailing measures through changes in shipping routes, product origins or production arrangements, the Trade Ministry said on Wednesday. Government Regulation No. 39 of 2026, issued on Sept. 22, updates the country's trade-remedy framework, replacing provisions under a 2011 regulation. The new rules also cover bilateral and regional safeguard measures, trade remedies in special customs-facility areas and strengthened investigation procedures. Trade Minister Budi Santoso said the changes are intended to preserve the effectiveness of existing trade remedies while aligning investigations and enforcement with Indonesia's World Trade Organization commitments.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
