Manaus cinemas cite property barriers, signal demand absorption to Brazil's CADE

They also highlighted that investments required to operate a cinema are difficult to recoup.Cinépolis Manaus Plaza, a movie theater located in the capital of Amazonas, believes the lack of suitable properties is the main barrier to entry for a new competitor in Manaus. The company told Brazil's competition watchdog that a larger commercial space is required to operate a cinema compared with other shopping mall tenants....
