Pharmaceutical partnerships secured rights to treatments for autoimmune disease, obesity, cervical precancer and organ damage.Qualcomm and Huawei agreed to a broad patent cross-license and Qualcomm’s purchase of certain Huawei US patents, while Qualcomm renewed Apple’s global patent license. Micron agreed to pay Netlist $600 million in license fees under agreements settling their litigation, and Volvo Cars joined Avanci’s automotive Wi-Fi pool. Pharmaceutical deals included Novartis licensing an experimental RNA-based autoimmune treatment and Novo Nordisk acquiring rights to a potential weekly weight-loss pill. Other partnerships targeted cervical precancer and kidney and liver diseases....
