EU cyber agency needs stronger AI mandate, says lead lawmaker on CSA2 file

A senior EU digital official defended country-related criteria for assessing supplier risks and said she hoped for an agreement early next year. Other lawmakers called for stronger AI capabilities while questioning mandatory certification plans.Further amendments to the proposed revision of the EU’s Cybersecurity Act, or CSA2, will seek to strengthen the role of the EU cybersecurity agency on artificial intelligence, the lawmaker leading the European Parliament's review of the proposal said....
