Indonesian auto marketplace admits discriminatory blocking in antitrust case
( October 7, 2026, 08:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: PT Car Some Indonesia has admitted blocking certain businesses from an online automotive marketplace in conduct that benefited the companies under investigation and violated Indonesia’s competition law, the country’s antitrust regulator said on Tuesday. Car Some told the Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, that it had removed the restriction as part of proposed behavioral changes. KPPU investigators said commitments proposed by Car Some and two affiliated companies should be made more specific and measurable, including equal access to advertising services, objective criteria and an end to discriminatory treatment. Investigators also proposed a 60-day deadline for ending the practices and requirements to provide evidence of compliance.
