Australia's mandatory, suspensory merger-control came into full effect on Jan. 1. and its notification thresholds are set to be reviewed by the government after the first year. In an interview with MLex, Luke Woodward, a commissioner at the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, said competition concerns do not necessarily correlate with the numerical thresholds.
