Meta opposes final US approval of $1.1 billion Flo Health privacy judgment
( September 29, 2026, 18:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms told a federal judge in California that he would deprive the company of its due process rights should he grant partial final judgment in privacy litigation over Flo Health's transmittal of user data to the social media and ads company, judgement that would require Meta to pay a total $1.1 billion in damages to about 222,000 California residents. Meta told US District Judge James Donato it has a right to a "fair opportunity to present its defenses when putative class members actually come forward." Granting the plaintiffs' motion for final judgment now, Meta said in a court filing, "bypasses that opportunity altogether, because no class members would have to 'come forward' before a ten-figure judgment is entered."See attached document....
