South Korea expands complainants' rights in antitrust case proceedings
( September 28, 2026, 05:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea’s antitrust regulator has revised its case-procedure rules to strengthen complainants’ procedural rights, including by requiring them to be notified when an examiner’s report is submitted to a plenary meeting or subcommittee and formal deliberations begin. The Korea Fair Trade Commission said it will also allow complainants to request a pre-hearing opinion process, giving them an opportunity to present their views to commissioners before the formal hearing. The amendments, which took effect Monday, also require unfair-advertising complainants to disclose whether they have filed the same matter with another agency and make related technical changes to complaint forms and procedural provisions.Statement is attached (in Korean)....
