TikTok drops UK children’s data fine appeal after second court loss

The penalty, imposed in 2023 by the Information Commissioner's Office, is now final. Two courts had rejected a preliminary challenge by TikTok to the regulator’s authority to issue the fine. TikTok said the penalty related to a historical period and does not reflect its current child safety measures.
