American Water settlement opponents seek option to pursue discovery, submit testimony
( September 23, 2026, 20:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Three Pennsylvania municipalities opposing the American Water Works-Essential Utilities settlement proposal for their state — Montgomery County, Delaware County and East Whiteland Township — complained that they had not yet been given "any meaningful opportunity to conduct discovery and submit testimony with respect to the Settlement’s terms." They told Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission administrative law judges Emily DeVoe and Ann Quimby that if the American Water settlement isn't rejected outright, "the record should be reopened to afford all parties due process."See attached document....
