Pornhub faces UK Ofcom investigation into age checks

Online safety regulator Ofcom said Wednesday that Pornhub's age checks might not be sufficiently effective. Pornhub initially applied a geoblock to new users in the UK, then started accepting users if they went through Apple's own age checks. Ofcom said that while the process relies on signals from a third party, its investigation will examine “how Aylo integrated these signals as part of an age-assurance process, and whether it conducted the necessary due diligence and testing before adopting this process.”Statement follows....
