Nvidia may seek EU review of Hugging Face deal amid filing uncertainty

But given that governments across the EU have handed new powers to regulators to catch high-value tech deals, it's hard to imagine a takeover of this size in the AI sector getting a free pass. The prospect of parallel reviews could well push Nvidia itself to ask the European Commission to step in.As Nvidia engages with regulators over whether it needs to file its acquisition of Hugging Face, the European country where the platform was born, built and has a large chunk of staff likely won’t be among those with jurisdiction to review the deal....
