KFTC chief says US pressure will not sway enforcement against foreign companies

Speaking at a briefing marking his first year in office, Ju expressed regret over recent court decisions suspending an on-site inspection and a price re-determination order. He also outlined plans to restrict repeat cartel offenders' market participation and said a decision in the government-bond rate-fixing case is expected soon.South Korea's antitrust chief said his agency would not be swayed by mounting pressure from US lawmakers over its treatment of American companies, pledging to keep enforcing competition law against foreign businesses in a fair and nondiscriminatory way, just as it has for more than two decades....
