Neurosurgeons file US antitrust claims against Anthem

( September 17, 2026, 19:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Neurological Surgery Practice of Long Island filed a US complaint over an Anthem policy that allegedly restricts independent physicians’ access to Anthem-insured patients. “By penalizing in-network facilities 7.5% of the allowed amount – and threatening potential network consequences – when they permit nonparticipating physicians to treat Anthem members, Anthem makes Anthem network participation a de facto condition of practicing facility-based medicine,” the complaint claims. The complaint follows another filed by the practice against Anthem subsidiary Empire Healthchoice over reimbursement rates, which was dismissed by the court.See attached file. ...
