Data centers downgraded, EU govts get more say under draft electricity compromise

The draft, seen by MLex, amends a European Commission legislative proposal presented alongside its Electrification Action Plan. It would give national governments more say over criteria for grid access, but it retains the commission's proposed requirement that electricity should not be taxed more heavily than natural gas.
