Wulro sees egg cartel fine reduced, Dutch antitrust watchdog says

( September 16, 2026, 08:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- Mlex Summary: Egg product supplier Wulro's fine for taking part in a cartel has been reduced by 40 percent, the Dutch antitrust watchdog said in a statement on Wednesday. The Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal confirmed on Tuesday the watchdog's finding that the company, together with Global and Interovo, violated competition law through egg-purchasing cartels but found the fine against Wulro to be disproportionate. In a statement on Wednesday, the watchdog said that the Tribunal agreed that there were two separate buyer cartels which weakened the bargaining position of affected poultry farmers.
