Dutch egg-cartel fines largely upheld by trade and industry appeals court

( September 15, 2026, 13:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Dutch Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal mostly upheld fines imposed on three companies for coordinating industrial-egg purchase prices, dividing suppliers and exchanging sensitive information. It said the companies’ strong position in egg procurement meant their conduct could restrict competition. It upheld the fines of €995,000 and €15,736,500 already reduced due to the length of proceedings, but it further reduced one fine to nearly €6.13 million because the company had been penalized twice for the same conduct. In 2023, the Dutch antitrust authority fined Interovo, Wulro and Global for the conduct.Press release follows. The ruling is attached (in Dutch). ...
