Procam pays fine in Poland for abusing buyer power
( September 10, 2026, 09:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Agribusiness Procam has agreed to pay a fine of more than 1 million zloty (£270,000) for unfairly exploiting its bargaining power over farmers, Poland’s competition and consumer authority said this week. The company required agricultural suppliers to deliver the full quantity of products, even when they were unable to harvest sufficient crops because of poor weather or other circumstances beyond their control. Suppliers also had only two days to notify Procam of an event classified as "force majeure." The company cooperated with UOKiK and changed its practices by introducing new contracts in June.
