Thailand adopts government digital data-sharing rules
( September 7, 2026, 04:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Thailand has adopted rules establishing a framework for government agencies to share digital data through a central system, with data-sharing requests generally to be completed within 90 days. The Prime Minister's regulation was published in the Royal Gazette on Friday and took effect the following day. Agencies may refuse requests involving classified or security-related information, personal data that has not been anonymized or otherwise lawfully shared, and information protected from disclosure under public-information or judicial-process laws. The rules also establish a Digital Data Sharing Promotion Committee, chaired by the prime minister or a designated deputy prime minister, to oversee implementation and issue measures supporting government data sharing.The regulation is attached....
