Saipem and Subsea7 see EU review derail merger timeline

Brazil and Australia are on track to deliver their verdicts before the end of 2026. A deadline for the companies to submit remedies, or not, is looming in Australia.A discreet notification on the European Commission's register — late in August — burst Saipem and Subsea7’s hopes to close their merger by the end of 2026. This was the official target of both energy services companies since they unveiled their tie-up plan, back in February 2025....
