Broadcasters push US Supreme Court to review DirecTV's antitrust case over fees
( September 4, 2026, 18:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nexstar Media Group, Mission Broadcasting and White Knight Broadcasting filed a reply in support of their petition for the US Supreme Court to review DirecTV's case accusing them of conspiring to raise and fix the prices of retransmission consent fees for the four major broadcast networks. They said the appeals court's decision to revive the case creates a circuit conflict, and instead of addressing the central point of the petition, DirecTV's opposition recasts the question presented. "[B]efore this case, no court of appeals had permitted a non-purchaser to bring a price-fixing claim based on downstream losses arising from a transaction that never occurred," they argued.See attached file....
