PG&E, utilities seek dismissal of US energy price-fixing claims

( September 4, 2026, 14:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Pacific Gas and Electric and its president, Carla Peterman, as well as Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric filed replies supporting dismissal of US energy price-fixing claims brought by a PG&E consumer, saying the plaintiff's opposition to dismissal "resurrects arguments this Court rejected in its prior dismissal ruling." At bottom, the complaint is about the California Public Utilities Commission's decision regarding the operative net energy metering tariff, which cannot support any claim against the utility defendants or overcome their First Amendment protections for their petitioning activity to the CPUC, the defendants said in their filing in the Northern District of California. "This case should not go any further," the utilities said.See attached document: ...
