Liechtenstein data watchdog faces enforcement pressure, 2025 report says

Despite not being an EU member state, Liechtenstein adopted the bloc's regulation as a member of the European Economic Area. Complaints on data protection rose by 50 percent last year, and reports of personal data breaches rose 35 per cent. Key risks were phishing, spoofing and exposed health or financial information. The watchdog also warns of privacy risks during the use of generative AI services, stating that risk-free GDPR-compliant use of such systems with personal information is not yet possible.Report is attached (in German)....
