In a statement on Thursday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that it issued a determination granting authorization for Google and Epic Games to give effect to certain terms of a settlement until Sept, 30, 2032. In a determination, the regulator said it considers that the proposed conduct is likely to result in public benefits in the form of certainty of lower service fees for Australian developers and potentially lower prices for Australian consumers, increased investment in app development and increased competition in app distribution and payment processing.Statement follows.
