China continues antitrust campaign targeting platforms, pharma, utilities

( September 3, 2026, 06:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s antitrust authorities will continue a nationwide enforcement campaign focused on platform companies, active pharmaceutical ingredients, public utilities and sectors affecting people’s livelihoods, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement published Thursday. Officials meeting in Dalian, Liaoning Province, on Wednesday and Thursday reviewed progress in the campaign and discussed next steps, including efforts to curb “involution-style” competition, support the development of a unified national market and protect fair competition. Market-regulation authorities from Beijing, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Shandong, Chongqing and Shaanxi attended the meeting.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
