BdM Banca shouldn’t get compensation over defeated state aid case, EU top court says

BdM Banca — formerly Banca Popolare di Bari — lost its appeal against the General Court's rejection of its damages claim. Although EU judges found the commission had committed a sufficiently serious breach of EU state aid rules, they held that the bank failed to establish the direct causal link required for EU non-contractual liability.The judgement is attached.
