US FTC, Southern Glazer's seek another stay extension to finalize settlement
( August 28, 2026, 17:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission and Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits requested another extension of the stay in their price-discrimination dispute as they work to finalize a settlement. The parties previously told a California federal judge that they reached an agreement in principle and executed a memorandum of understanding that, once finalized with additional terms in a final order, will resolve all claims in the action. In a court filing, they asked US District Judge Fred Slaughter to extend the stay of the case for an additional 28 days, through Oct. 2. They said they are working "diligently and continue to make progress — including exchanging drafts— in negotiations to convert that memorandum into a stipulated proposed final order."See attached document....
